w3wp.exe: All query processing components are in ‘Failed’ status.

Today, we received from our customer the information about some errors to use the search in a SharePoint website, following the error:


In URL log, we saw the following two errors, Unexpected and Critical respectively:

Cell statuses: [Cell I.0.0 on node IndexComponent1: Cell status is set to ‘not available’ (cell out of sync or seeding)]

w3wp.exe: All query processing components are in ‘Failed’ status.


When we checked the Search Service Application, we saw a warning icon for the index partition and searchable items informing “All Errors”:


Our first step on troubleshooting was reset the index and started an full crawl and it started working again.
